Paul Oshima

Paul has been a CPA since 2013 with over five years of income tax and over seven years of full-cycle financial accounting experience. He worked four and a half years at one of the Business Management firms consistently listed in Variety magazine’s annual Business Managers Elite lists. There he primarily worked on the accounting-side with actors; directors; and YouTubers, including a successful clothing line; as well as small businesses in a variety of industries ranging from $2MM – $30MM in gross revenue. One of the highlights was covering the due diligence on the Multi-million dollar sale of a client’s company to a public company. His experience covers income tax; sales tax; payroll tax and work comp audits; retirement plans; city business tax; business property tax; and providing due diligence for home mortgage loans. Beyond the entertainment world, Paul has experience working on professional service, multi-state restaurant, and manufacturing companies with revenues of $25MM-$65MM involving Cost Segregation, WOTC and Research Credits, 263A, and both GAAP and IFRS. He was also involved with the preparation, consultation, and loan forgiveness tracking for Covid-related CARES Act loans totaling over $10MM. He graduated magna cum laude from UC Irvine with a Bachelors of Arts, a 3.9 GPA, triple minor, with Phi Beta Kappa honors as a junior (one of the oldest and most prestigious academic honor societies in the U.S.). He continued on to get a Certificate of Accounting from UCLA on the way to completing his CPA.
